Object Relations

The approach I use is called Object Relations Psychodynamic Therapy.  This approach has a unique richness in allowing problems to unfold.  This type of therapy works in-depth, allowing layers to surface for observation and understanding.  As a relationship is fostered between the client and therapist, feelings, dreams, and thoughts emerge and connections and patterns appear.

Some clients know exactly what they want to work on in therapy.  Other clients don’t know what is wrong, but they know things are not right. Whether clients know what they are looking for, or are not exactly sure, I help clients put things back together inside, things that got disconnected or lost that need to be reclaimed.

This type of therapy is complex and elegant and takes time and dedication.  It is not for every client.  The clients who benefit most from this approach are those who want to make real change and need a therapist with empathy and expertise.  I bring to the therapeutic alliance a collaborative relationship with clients who are poised to accept and truly understand themselves.
